How to Get There?
Other than visiting on a yacht charter, vistors can take a water taxi to Green Turtle Cay, which is located across the Sea of Abaco after landing at Marsh Harbour Airport or the smaller airstrip on Treasure Cay. Both of these airfields are located on Treasure Cay. It's possible that arriving in Treasure Cay via private plane would be more convenient for you, but you could also have the tender from your charter yacht pick you up there if that's an option.
Green Turtle Cay is the hub of a much more remote and slower-paced yachting destination in the Northern Abacos. While Marsh Harbour is known as the Hub of the Abacos, Green Turtle Cay is located north of that region. It is a much lesser travelled part of the Bahamas for charter yachts but can have appeal for those guests who want to see new places.

There are two charming and modest marina resorts in this region, and their names are the Green Turtle Club and the Bluff House. Both of these resorts are located in this area. If the water is too deep for your boat to anchor here, you should investigate moorings in the area or consider moving a little bit closer to the action in New Plymouth. Either way, you should look into these options. While you're there, take advantage of the stretches of deserted beach that stretch for kilometers, go scuba diving or snorkeling, and check out the other, smaller cays. You should travel to New Plymouth because it is a unique out island town that has beautiful architecture, a Loyalist Sculpture Garden, and art galleries. Also, you should go to New Plymouth to check out the stores and pubs. You can return to the comfort of your hired boat after an amazing supper and evening aboard, and then spend the remainder of the night partying at the clubhouse.
Further North
Place your anchor in complete seclusion on one of the uninhabited, tiny cays to the north and experience the height of luxury. Away from the bright lights of the city, you will be able to see the stars twinkle like you've never seen them before at night. After going for a dip at a deserted beach, go snorkeling on the reefs and shallow flats nearby. Bring a picnic with you to a certain beach. Discover multi colored shells with perfect formations. You may also pay a visit to the Spanish Cay Marina, from which you can rent a golf cart and travel the length of this fascinating cay. Your charter yacht may quickly take you to Marsh Harbour, the hub of the Abacos, after departing from Green Turtle, which is not far away. After witnessing the breathtaking scenery of the Northern Abacos, you'll most likely decide that you can't bear to leave the tranquility of the area.
From Green Turtle it is a short trip in your charter yacht to the Hub of the Abacos and busy Marsh Harbour. Chances are, once you experience the beauty of the Northern Abacos, you'll want to stay!
